Here for rides.
I have one b-i-l who is a copper I have one b-i-l who is a paramedic. Which one do you suppose spends his working life responding to utter wasters who dial 999 for no good reason? Here's a clue... his uniform is green.

rapid response is a pragmatic solution to the umpteen tossers who waste the NHS' time and money, ie. our money, calling 999 when they've got a headache, or a splinter or just want some attention.

"Forever", eh? Go on then ... point me at two or three of my recent posts in which I "go on" about the tabloid press. Incidentally, the troll icon is looking a bit threadbare, perhaps because you seem to use it every time someone has the temerity to hold a different opinion from yours.

Yeah but the big hole in your arguement is that it was not opinion based on fact but purely spite having a pop at me.

I wasn't "having a pop" at you. But your post was rather "all coppers are bastards, in my experience. Look at all these cases", followed by a string of stuff straight out of the press. I agree that they don't always get it right, but equally they don't get it wrong quite so frequently as your post made out.

You really are tooling troll.

Are you saying that the Stephen Lawrence and Ian Tomlinson cases were fabricted by the press ? Or the death of the former paratrooper on the floor of the a custody suite whilst officers looked on making monkey noises was fabircated by the press? If so your are even more an idiot than you come across. If it wasn't for the freedom of the press of which I include programmes such as Dispatches as well as all newspapers in this country then the police would literally be able to get away with gross negligence or even murder.

As for my own experiences I do not intend to go into detail with you on a public forum. I would prefer that you refrain from your sneering inference that I am in some way lying about them.

The police by virtue of their office are set a high standard, rightly so. It's a pity how many seem to think this does not apply to them as they are the police that they can either bend rules or abuse their powers or fail to act at all.
