Cleaning. whats your best tip?

There are some of us that like to do a spot of cleaning more than the next. to what level of cleaning is another question all to gather and I'm not one to strip the bike down to its nakedness to get all of the nooks and crannys. so in short what is your best tip when cleaning be it a product or a tool?

I shall share with you my new found wisdom. forget these over priced degreasers there is a very cheap alternative.
bucket of hot water pour in about one and a half table spoons of fair dish washing liquid. I am sure there are other brands out there but for the purpose of cleaning 70% more dishes than the next leading brand this is what i stock. then add a good couple of gluggs of white spirit. and hey presto

hmm i wonder how many more bikes fairy can clean than the next leading brand haha.
anyway i would be grateful to hear from any of you.

Washing up liquid contains a lot of salt and can be a bit harsh, car shampoo is a better alternative if you don`t want to pay for muc off etc

i find the easiest way to ensure my bike is clean is to get the butler to clean it
