The pro teams probably have a couple of spare bottom brackets knocking about.

You will not get the grease out of the bottom bracket with a jet wash unless you use it stupidly.

I'm too busy riding mine to get time to clean it. I try to clean and re-lube the chain and the rest of the drive chain every 6-8 weeks depending on how bad the weather has been. Riding a bike that sounds like a threshing machine is painful and consumes so much more energy.

One thing I learned a few years ago..
Bianchi, alloy, winter riding altgough not in the filthy stuff. I used a spray bottle with light detergent, spray bike, clean off with paper towel and use an airline to blast off as much excess fluid as possible. Quick, easy, used to take me 2 minutes.
Then one day I tried to adjust my gears..the barrel adjusters were siezed solid...and I mean solid. I work in engineering so equipment was no problem, but I struggled. I ended up drilling and tapping the frame bosses fpr the adjusters, quite difficult because of the angles etc.
Now, I apply antisieze to ALL my bikes from new, not having that happen again. I suspect it was the regular washing and extremely infrequent use of the barrels that caused them to sieze.

Muc-off and its clones smells exactly like McDonalds Heavy Duty Degreaser. So it's good for cleaning chip pans, etc. How good that makes it for bikes, I dunno...

A few years ago I stripped the frame so that I could get the geometry checked after a crash. While it was in bits I decided to clean everything down to the last nut, bolt and washer. I spent about a week, and it looked like new by the time I put it back together.

The first time I took it out, it got plastered in black sludge spewing from the exhaust of a passing lorry.

Moses boweth down in front of the Lord on Mount Sinai. And the Lord said unto Moses, "the amended edition of the ten commandments for evermore shalt contain eleven commandments. The new first commandment sayeth thou shalt not wash thy velocipede or thine horseless carriage for the Lord thy God is a kind and generous God and shalt provide water from the heavens that shall clean thy vehicles. This rain shall be provided randomly on Bank Holiday Mondays and whenever thou venture forth from thy home without thy cloak".

I use Muc-off spray all over the bike, then warm water with car wash, then I use pledge to buff the frame. Stays clean for about 1 ride, then I do it all over again.
For the rear cassette and mechs, I use a free cleaner tool I got with a magazine, it is awesome, has long brushes and bristles, thin ones to reach into gaps etc.
Would not use it in the bath though.
