Cleaning. whats your best tip?

Really?? I`ve often washed white spirit off my hands with washing up liquid, I`m still here to tell the tale??

My quibble with this is that the white spirit will just cancel out the detergent. I'd use either a solvent or a detergent or one then the other but mixing them sounds counter productive.

It's the mixing of chemicals in a container(vessel/tub/bottle/whatever) you should not be doing - unless you're an alchemist, that is.
Could cause poisonous gases or even explosion

Not all chemical reactions are explosions though. If that was the case we'd all just blow up immediately. We all mix lots of different chemicals every day in just about everything we do. Detergents are customarily used to negate oils and such.
