I use RaceBlades and am pretty happy with them.
They do keep you dry, but what they don't do is keep the crap off your brakes, so you have to clean them rather more than if you had full guards.
I did find the front one a bit short though - go through a puddle and it would dump half of it over the toe of your shoe, particularly if a sidewind.
But a section cut from a fabric softener bottle was exactly the right curve, pop-rivited to the bottom to make them a bit longer, and sorted !
