I think my phone / alarm should change itself. At least I blimmin' well hope so, I've got a race first thing. Don't want to start with a one hour handicap!

Got to get up for an Audax tomorrow, lost an hour + up early to cycle to the start! I will be dead by the evening
Enjoy mate, I've got a 10m TT with a start time of 9.16am

I once tried using the clock confusion as an excuse for turning up late for work, when really I just wanted to have a lie-in... on arriving an hour late, I said i'd forgotten to adjust my clocks... they pointed out that if that was the case, I'd have arrived an hour early

And why is it that one you can never remember how to change and have to search out the instructions ?

Spring forward - Fall back (or Autumn for us brits).

In what way outdated?
I think some of the original reasons were to allow farmers more light for harvesting, etc.........farm machinery now has powerful lights so not really required. Another reason, to allow children to get to school more safely in the mornings.....again there are so many ferried to school by coach or parents and those that do cross roads nearly all have crossing patrols so not really needed now either. Must admit I would be happier just leaving it alone now.

In what way outdated?

There is still the same amount of daylight hours if the clocks go back of forward. By moving the time only shifts the hours of darkness..so in the winter it wouldn't get light until 8-8.30, a bit later in the north. I think we should keep BST, maybe calling it British Standard Time instead.
