I am trying to get hold of the sustrans sea to sea map - but can only find it online and none of the places will deliver before Saturday. Anyone know where I can get this local to Northumberland/Newcastle?

@theloafer that would be great if you don't mind? I will PM my details to you.
in the post this morning hope I put enough stamps on
Cheers mate, great act of kindness as stated if I can do anything in return just let me know. I can sent you money via PayPal to cover the postage if you want as I know the royal mail are robbing barstewards?
I take it you realise Newcastle is not on the coast - to complete the ride and see the North Sea you will need to go the extra nine or so miles to Tynemouth.
if theres not enough stamps they will want cash of you... if you had gone to sunderland you could have my garmin route info..
Looks to be around 40 miles in so be a good place to stop, cheers for the heads up. What kind of food do they do? Can't see any menu online. Or did u just get a caffeine hit when you stopped?
Are you going over whinlatter? Alternatively once at cockermouth you can head to bassenthwaite lake and take an alt route to Keswick
