Cogs for front wheel?

since most (all!) hubs will only take a freewheel/casette on one side only... i doubt there's an easy or cheap way.
What about a fip flop track hub, can that work?

If you did that, you’d have one gear for going forwards, one for going backwards.

Steering on a front-wheel drive bike would be... interesting.
I need both gears to drive forward, ie clockwise one side, and anticlock on other side. And the drive attached to fork, not frame, so no steering problem.

A double sided fixed rear wheel? Where do I look for one of these? Any links please?
They're also known as flip-flop hubs, as in the picture which shows one for a BMX.

Christini have been making 2 wheel drive bicycles for years. They went quiet for a few years, but seem to be back with some interesting new bikes.
