No jokes please !

Whenever I get the slightest sniffle of a cold by but cheeks go like blocks of ice. Had the sore throat, cough this week - not anywhere near enough to keep me of work - but my buttocks were (are) like two blocks of ice. The only way I can get any releif is to pop to the gym and start doing some barbell squats and general core work - then it goes away for the rest of the day. Google doesn't show anything like what fits - Raynaulds ? - but hands and feet aren't cold. ....any ideas what it could be ?

Hopefully this is easing off, I might skip the cycling this weekend though - but goin g forward need a warm jacket and tights - I already have reasonable winter kit - but perhaps a jacket that covers my butt ?

Try standing up on the pedsls and using different muscles. Thicker full length leggings?

It's not clear from your post but is this a problem when cycling or just generally during the day? I have to ask how active you are other than the cycling or gym work? If you are anything like me then being sedentary for any length of time can lead to a massive reduction in body temp and the extremities can get really cold and even numb. I notice this the most if I spend a few hours sat at the computer on the forum
The other extreme to this is when coming out of work after a busy night shift where I have been rushing around all night (not physical work but lots of walking from job to job and always on the go) I can be really warm and can ride home in quite light clothing even on a frosty morning when the rest of the workforce are scraping their car windscreens.
Is it possible that you just are not very active at times, and even less so if you don't feel 100%?

What leg covering do you use? At this time of year you need Roubaix-lined bib tights, thickish socks with shoes less tight than in summer and overshoes. If your tights don't have a pad, wear an old ropey pair of summer shorts underneath them.

O/P Here thanks for all the replies.

Problems bothers me most off the bike. Its usually when I have a cold - i just can't get my ass warm ! - if I had full blown flu, where you are shivering all over and want to stay in bed then I could understand it - but what I have seems like a minor cold - sore throat, bit of a cough ....and this isn't the first time.

I have some decent bib tights - and ride with mudguards in the winter.

but keep the clothing suggestions coming - I am looking for a softsheel jacket - preferablly one that covers my ass !

How do the hands and feet feel, when your butt is cold?

I recently bought a couple of THESE and find them to be superbly warm, and long enough to cover up my butt if pulled down. They also have long sleeves with thumb holes so they can be worn over the wrist and under gloves.
