I'm terrible at almost all video games, but i like the idea of them.

I've still got the old playstation one and a PS2, but it's the PS1 that comes out most often (the discs load so much faster).

The games I'll never get tired of are Driver, Driver 2 and Worms Armageddon (all on the PS1)

I also love a bit of Everybody's Golf but now I'm in the 'pro' league, it's hard to come anything but last in a tournament. Like a bit of carnage in GTA San Andreas (no interest in following the story line) and smashing up cars in Burnout 2. (all on PS2)

I keep toying with buying an Xbox 360 so I can explore Skyrim and GTA 5, and wouldn't mind one of the ZX Spectrum emulators so i can revisit some of the games from my youth, such as Manic Miner, Death Chase, Timegate, Turbo Esprit, etc... but at £99, they're far too expensive.

One of the best things about Doom is the shotgun. Easily the most satisfying noise and action of any video game gun, ever.

I don't play every day, but given the hours I spend on them each week, computer games / console games are definitely a hobby. Have been a fan since the good old C64 days.

Loved the C64. I found an online Paradroid emulator a while ago and relived some happy memories playing that. Andrew Braybrook and Jeff Minter are jointly responsible for me wasting much of my teenage years (at least until I discovered girls).

In the last couple of years, I've bought both a PS3 and PS4. On the PS3 I got sucked into Red Dead Redemption - sometimes spending hours just riding around doing cowboy stuff in between storyline tasks. Fabulous game. Presently I'm working through GTA4 on PS3, having completed GTA5 on PS4 last year.

I got a PS3 a while ago when they were being sold off cheap when the PS4 came out. GTA V is brilliant, though I completed all the missions a while ago and have pretty much played it out, so I bought GTA IV but haven't really got into it yet - it's just not as instantly engaging as GTA V. I was really keen on the idea of Red Dead Redemption - GTA but in the Wild West? sounds right up my street - but I found it quite boring, far too much running around between missions and not really challenging enough.

I think I still have the original PS and SNES in the loft but not sure if either actually works. It's a tough choice between WipeOut 2097 and Super Mario Kart for the title of best racing game ever. We also have a Wii and the Wii version of Mario Kart looks amazing but doesn't quite match the gameplay of the older version for me.

The Legend of Zelda games are great - I loved both A Link To The Past on the SNES and Twilight Princess on the Wii.

I've thought about getting a PS4 but it's low down on my list of priorities.

Used to be a massive gamer. Bought every FIFA since circa 1999 up until this years version. Owned all the CODs & Battlefields at some point over the years as well.

Just don't have the motivation to play games anymore. Maybe an age thing (38) however just think every genre has been done to death so it feels like even a new game is just a rehash of something I have played before.

Battlefield 1 on the XB1 was phenomenal to be fair but I was rubbish at it lol so it was shelved :-)

Anyone else used to painstakingly copy the program listings from the magazines to make your own games? Hours and hours of typing and searching back to try and find where you'd missed a digit to get it to work, only to end up with some slow and jerky "Spaceship" (A row of graphic Z's) wandering across the screen as you tried to shoot it down with an exclamation mark.

Yes. On an Acorn Atom which my BiL built himself from a kit and then we added a tape recorder to it, so we could save the games.

I'm currently tinkering with Spaceflight Simulator on Android.

It is rocket science. Very satisfying when you get to design a rocket that first gets into orbit, then which can land a probe on another planet.

Yes, hours typing things in on my cousins zx80 and zx81 computers. I just bought and finished Far Cry 5 the other month and I marvel at the change in games over the decades. While a visually stunning game, Far Cry 5's ending left me somewhat cold and I've not gamed for about 2 months. I need to find something more cheerful for my next game.

Yes!

I spent days programming an adventure game into my ZX Speccy and all the time i thought this is going to be amazing when it's complete... I've never been very bright, so when i'm programming the bits that say "You're in a large cavern with a chest in the corner" or "You enter a glade, dappled with sunlight" ...I thought the Spectrum would somehow graphically render the cavern or the glade... it almost got thrown through the window when the program was complete and it just printed the text on the screen .

Carbon fibre... LMAO!!!
GTA5
I've a couple other games too like Farming Simulator, Colin McRae Dirt, Call of Duty etc but I keep coming back to GTA for the open world of it. I no longer have the reflexes that I used to and even when I was younger I sucked so these days I'm constantly being killed by teenagers and so on.
I don't play as much as I used to as I'm slowly losing interest in gaming but once in a while, it's nice to sit down and fly about in the DeLorian blowing people up
