Keep it simple. Boil cabbage, potato and any other handy veg until nearly cooked then add diced corned beef and possibly garlic powder and cook until ready. Drain and put into casserole and add some white sauce or if lazy cupasoup. Top with grated cheese and breadcrumbs. Heat up in Remoska or an oven, serve and eat. Add salt to taste before adding sauce.

WoW......and I thought corned bed hash was just erhh corned beef hash ^_^
oh lord no... it has more variations on the theme than Rachmaninov.

I have two variants:
  • Like Mum makes; spuds, carrots, onion, water, stock... CB added at the end. It's more stew than hash, but we call a swede a turnip so...
  • My variant; corned beef posh! ...baby new potatoes, a shallot or two, water... boil and drain and make a rough mash. Add steamed chantenay carrots and cubed CB... fry in a hot pan until the potato browns

My word. Some awful examples here.

1 inch cubes of corned beef and potato. Lots of roughly chopped onion.

Roast the potatoes, add the corned beef and onion to the tray.

Continue to roast until crisped edges.

Plenty of cheese to grill off on top.

Beans optional to be mixed in.

Mushing it all together is a crime. It's not baby food.

Corned beef, mashed tatties and beans all mashed together. Yum!

This is one of those things where my recipe is inviolate and undeniably the one andf only correct way to make it

AKA - it needs to be the way my wife's Mum used to make it
other examples include
Cottage Pie (although she does change the gravy)
Scouse - whole wars can break out about the correct way to make this
Corned Beef Hash

so - the correct method
a) make mashed potatoe - lots of salt but less liquid than normal
b) add a small tin of corned beef - or a packet or 4 slices
c) mix together

no other ingredients - especially onions

put on plate and spoon on Heinz Macaroni Cheese (smelly horrible stuff )- or Heinz Ravioli

she can be quite fussy and fixed in her ways at times!

I think I'll answer that with a graph.

Remoska’s are fab :-)
And perfect for the @Salty seadog method

Thank you! Some decorum at last…
Tho’ I like a bit of real Tomato in mine sometimes.
Sautéed spud and CB cubes in a big cast iron pan also works, just be gentle.
