Just watching this now. :okay:

You might have missed all three On The Buses movies when they were shown back to back on Good Friday...

Phew.
Thankfully I was "on the bike" a good part of Friday,so missed that "comedy gold"

I very seldom watch films on TV, it has to be the cinema (even the tiny adhoc one in this town). I find Spielberg's ability to turn everything to sentimental mush makes for grim viewing. Most mainstream Hollywood stuff fails even remotely to tempt.

Interesting. I tend to avoid movies based on real events since I realised that many of them (<cough>Oliver Stone<cough>) take liberties with the events and give a completely false spin to what really happened...

Of course, Shakespeare did precisely that in the history plays.

They are old I know, but I tend not to watch anything regarded as a "Bawdy British Sex Comedy"
Carry On and Confessions Of etc etc.
British comedy in the major was really awful in the 70's and 80's.Terry and June,George and Mildred,Keeeping Up Appearances,The Good Life to name but a few.
And how they got away with Mind Your Language,Love Thy Neighbour and even Rising Damp on a lot of occaisons.
I will never know.
Just so embarrassing
Most of those are tv rather than fillums, but the Carry Ons were a real movie phenomenon - massive in their day (they were frequently the biggest-grossing film of the year) - baffling now.

Anything with Daniel Day-Lewis in "going for an Oscar "Serious Actor" mode". Oh Dear.
