I want to get a cycle computer (wireless) for my 2nd bike.

Providing it has the main features I want, is there anything wrong getting a cheap one?

Thanks for that guys, that's answered my question exactly.

I've seen some around £60 with basically the same same functions as the £25 ones. I just couldn't understand why.

I think cheap wired tends to be OK.

I had a cheap wireless one which had trouble with interference, which can mess up the things like the max and average speed. Other than that the factors seem to be how well it stays on the bike and whether it stays water tight.

At the moment I'm trying to decide between a NiteRider Rebel 1.0 and a VDO A08.

I've got a £4 job from Tesco. I've had it for over a year and it only let me down last week during a monsoon downpour. So I let it dry out for a couple of days, hit the reset button and it's alive again no problem.

Same £4 Tesco one for me has bee working fine for several years, trivial issue is that it fails if my GPS comes closer than 6 inches.

don't buy a wireless Bikehut computer. Mine picked up my home Wi-Fi and it never stopped counting. I was doing 50mph sitting at my kitchen table once. Completely useless .

Let me know what you end up with, Perry. I'm looking for the same - just the basic functions of the NiteRider (although I certainly don't need it backlit), wireless, big numbers and ideally cheap enough to get one for each bike or with separate wheel units and mountings so that I just need to swap the bar unit across.

Get the A08, VDO are a specialist instrument maker they whole business is about accurately measuring speed and distance.

Why get the Hafrauds version, when you can get the real thing for £14.00?
