Hi guys,

I came across a very nice second hand bike on sale at Cycle Exchange website. Bike itself looks quite clean given that it’s a 2018 model. As per their T&C’s all bikes purchased come with 1 year frame and 3 months components warranty. Just wanted to know if anyone had any dealings with them and what was the experience like? Must admit Trustpilot is full of 5 stars reviews!

I’ve bought from them before & the bike was exceptional - super clean & obvious that any vaguely worn parts had been replaced. I’d just be a bit wary with their part ex prices - they can tend to be a bit ‘we buy any car’ I.e the price they offer is a bit of a starting point for them to knock the price down. I‘ve also found you need to be a bit selective, they sometimes sell bikes at 10-20% off retail price but who pays retail price? If you get the right bike at the right price you really can’t go wrong ( from my 1 bike experience!😀).

I’ve bought from them before. The bike was exactly as described and well packaged. No issues at all. Just check the photos carefully and ask questions if unsure.

They have a showroom in Kingston if you're local, always plenty of bikes

Never purchased but offered bikes to sell. Their offer prices are kind of insulting (about 25-30% of retail). They also don't seem to purchase outright anymore, just P/X value which suggests they are struggling to clear stock. That, combined with their high margins, suggests to me that I would be negotiating on price on any purchase from them.
