Cycle King on Kettering Road to close as 3 storey building up for sale for £375,000.
They're hoping to relocate but haven't found anywhere, yet.
Probably be turned into flats etc. I reckon.

There was a Cycle King in Medway, don't know if it is still there. I got a cheap trailer there years ago. It lasted ages before I gifted it to someone.

This. In my early naieve days I got a few bikes from their shop near where I live. Fell apart quicker than Leeds Utd in the Premier League. They once tried to charge me 30 quid to replace and fit an inner tube and at anothet time I asked for some chain lube and they sold me a can of teflon spray (i was none the wiser at the time) 🤣🤣

I had my Raleigh Record from Thakes/Cycle King when they were in Pound Lane near Benfleet. It was a bit of a long way to go when I had to keep taking it back with broken spokes every verse end. These days they have shops in Chelmsford & Colchester.
