Cycle queue etiquette?

The fact it's Oxford Road doesn't surprise me, as a general rule I either avoid it, despite the fact the office is on it, or use the road not the cycle lane. I reckon a bus driver is going to have a coronary one day whilst shouting at me.

If the rider is faster then i have no big issue with pushing to the front.

The ones that really annoy me are the slow ones who push to the front, then hold everyone up, they all eventually overtake, then they do the same thing again at the next set of lights.

On oxford road there are precious few places to overtake in the cycle lane itself - so if you don't move forward you end up doing 7mph behind a mobike!

Would Hexleybeef happen to be a lesser-known Cambridge suburb? It seems that rusted old BSOs rolling slowly to the front is etiquette here, usually followed by the grinding of seized-up chains on worn out sprockets as they wobble away
