My right foot measures 110mm wide going by Lakes guide & i've struggled with foot pain in my Torch 2 spd-sl shoes.
I've gone back to my old Shimano spd trainers that are very wide but the soles are very flexible & get differing foot pain from these on long rides.

I'd consider either clip format but they need to be wide enough & stiff soled.
Have any CC'ers got any recomendation for wider shoes?

Lake shoes come up wide apparently, and they offer wide fitting, not cheap tho.
Bont and Sidi also have wide fit

I've got Lake's 'wide fit ' and although a size 8 still needed a 9 but they are comfy. I went for the CX 238's.

I've used Lake in the past. Comfortable and wide. I'm currently using Specialised which I find surprisingly comfortable.

Lake shoes are not bad, Shimano do a wide fit as well do they not ? Sometimes I just need to size up.
They ... Shimano... do or did but they weren’t actually that wide, just more so than their main rather narrow fitting range

I currently have the Specialized Torch 2.0 shoes which are supposed to be for wider feet. They have more volume in the toe box but the sole/last is still narrow (99mm wide) & squeezes my foot.
Lake are nudging ahead in the race (they're info on sizing/width is good) as a size 44 shoe is almost 110mm wide.

I'd have to disagree with this. I need wide street shoes, walking boots, cycling shoes etc. Lake are by far the widest and most reliably so I've found. Having said this I do have a pair of Specialized shoes and Fizik winter boots which fit well and are very comfortable............................BUT to find these I had to identify every local, within 30 miles, outlet, plot them in a circular route and drive round until I found shoes and boots which fitted!!!! For me more time far more efficient than ordering and returning sample after sample to random online stores.

I meant Shimano wide as mentioned in the post I quoted.
Sigma isn’t really random, it’s a large well established high end bike shop with a slick mail order operation and a wide (pun intended) choice of higher end brands, with good availability and competitive pricing
