Hi all , live alone so no problem leaving bikes all over the place . I'm houseproud though cram 3 under the stairs but would like ease of access to all 3.suggestions of hanging a MTB an a road bike for easy access in this area . Ps the door is off but will be going back on , door closes with bike in that position

Remove that ugly shelf thing and install three wheel hooks against that wall in a V shape (high-low-high) so that the bar's don't interfere with each other. Hang the bikes from their front wheels.

If you don't have the height to implement @jay clock 's suggestion then an alternative could be a pair against the right hand wall on frame hooks but with front wheels removed (it looks like the cupboard doesn't have the depth to leave them on). More faff so 3 vertical would be best though ;)

To lift the bikes high enough up to clear that shelf might be a bit of a struggle with the suggested wall hooks. You might need a short step ladder.
If that is a stud wall it may not take the weight of the bikes without the fixings pulling out. You need to proceed with care.

I'd put the lighter bikes higher up.

You can also top and tail them rather than all hung by front wheels... thereby getting them closer together. 'tis what I've done with 4 bikes in my garage using those hangers listed above. They've gone up though -were only £10 for 4 18 months ago

It also doesn't matter if rear wheels hang against the box/shelf. I have a similar arrangement in my shed. Combo of hang by front or wheel wheels and alternating mtb and road to fit, as I didn't have enough time height to go high low high low etc.
