PS - I heard the snob management at ITV hated On the Buses, and wanted it off the air, but the public said otherwise - huge viewing figures.

Strange how people’s taste differ.
I can understand how you wouldn’t find it funny but surely you can see the originality in it, rather than some middle of the road rubbish like almost every suburban family sitcom ever.
