Robocop ftw

the original is wonderful, the remake ripped the soul out of it.

The Day The Earth Stood Still, When Worlds Collide, This Island Earth, Invasion Of The Body Snatchers and all those 1950's (even the low budget ones, like the masterpiece below  ) ones are good to watch every now and then ,

but stuff like Star Wars isn't for me. I'm one of the rare ones who have never seen or wanted to see a Star Wars film. :tired:

Star Wars is Space Opera not Sci Fi.
Try Galaxy Quest for more realistic version.

The Andromeda Strain

They're apparently going to make the fictional Galaxy Quest Tv show from the movie into a real one. It was on the cards years back but was stalled due to Alan Rickman's death.

Heresey! Loved EH when it first came out, watched it again recently and still loved it. I really like Sam Neil though so I'm biased. They did change the ending, some of which you can still see in the film, as Sam Neils character wasn't supposed to be the end boss. It was going to be the 'burned man' Lawrence Fishburne left behind.
[Event Horizon]
Well I did not know that!

It's a very under-rated film. Saw it at the cinema, and some bits genuinely creeped me out - I don't say that very often. And I'd struggle to find any flaws.
It's not high art, or revolutionary SF, but it's definitely a Good Movie! :-)

Quite liked the Chronicles of Riddick, no mention of the cinematic master piece that is Independence Day… 😁

The 1960s version of Time Machine is rather good. Not seen the remake but it has a poor reputation

This one?
