Mistaken again eh?because I got the wrong forum I was thinking about Campaign & Public Policy
This is a proposed public policy... your proposed policy but a public policy none the less.Mistaken again eh?![]()
No problem. But dont you think the majority of us could benefit if we were all identifyable in some way , while out on the bikes? This is a proposed public policy... your proposed policy but a public policy none the less.![]()
Or even a card in the wallet, that can be checked on request?
Debating what, what bikes he has? Im not really interested in his vast numbers of toys and bikes. Just that I think we should be identifyable if needed while out on the road, licenceing seems the best way, unless you have another way?1728188 said:Ian gave you examples about a range of children's bikes. Rather than address the point as made you chose to pick at one small point, hence wriggle as in attempting to wriggle out of debating the issue honestly.

For cyclists? I didnt know about that?Ah, identity cards. That was a popular suggestion when the Labur party made it.
Why, unless your wanting to stay unknown to do something you shouldnt? I cant see the problem?not really...
So what is your reason for wanting to stay anonymous while out cycling?1728200 said:Yes that argument was put forward for ID cards as well.
Personally I'd like to see some kind of national standard ID card introduced. I know of several people who have ended up carrying around their passport because they don't have driving licences. But that's wandering way off topic.1728200 said:Yes that argument was put forward for ID cards as well.
To show what i experience on the roads. We can all just keep quiet about what happens out there, if we do, it won't get better.
Me personally? Nope, that would ruin the system we have.Dont you hope to be able to identify a driver?
Its not just about risk, its about theft too, how many less bikes would be stolen if they had to be identifyable when on the road, it would be like a car without a number plate in a way.the risk spectrum brought to the road by a cyclist is fairly low, it's not much larger than the risk spectrum brought to the roads by a pedestrian.
