Discovered this in the camp site shop on holiday in the New Forest today. Brewed by Black Sheep in 2014 to celebrate Le Tour starting in Yorkshire.

In America a couple of years ago, I had a lot of Sam Adams Porch Rocker -- based on Radlers with a dash of lemon in there. https://www.samueladams.com/craft-beers/seasonals/porch-rocker

Any other cycling-specific tipples?

There's the Dartford Wobbler brewery near us

Tried it once, think it's OK, but not my cup of tea.

That's not a disadvantage at all. See the strength as a co-efficient of sorts and simply a challenge to drink more to achieve the desired end result.

no

costs a lot more to reach the desired end..

And often with less taste.

One of my favourite pubs, in the north, persists in selling mostly pretty weak beer.

They claim that their customers prefer this.

I suspect other reasons.

Might be a good time to mention Untappd. It's a fun wee app for finding a beer locally or remembering what you enjoyed. Feel free to try and add me... But sadly I ran out of drinking buddies within the last few years, so don't expect any reviews from me any time soon.
Seems like bicycle beers are very often American, based on a couple of searches...
