I had a smile about the Impreza. I wonder what he is compensating for?Impreza with an STi wing and extra stiffies
The larger Lakes towns can be a bit chock a block but plenty of quiet places off the tourist track.

Incapable of fixing the puncture on his Raleigh?I had a smile about the Impreza. I wonder what he is compensating for?
that's just some sh!t they successfully sell to outsiders.I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Kendal Mint Cake yet.
Just a shame that someone has gone and spoiled the view by parking a rather odd looking collection of steel pipes and wheels in the foreground. Did you not take your bike with you?I may begrudgingly accept the place looks reasonable enough this afternoon

No one's tried to kill me yet either - always a bonus

The more I travel, the less I like leaving home these days.
But only after they have taken your passport off you to make sure you never get backI'm sure that the good burghers of Kendal will be sorry to see you go.
And a wonderful, sunny, warm afternoon,a joy to be out.Plenty of others out too, smiles all roundStrange.................it's not raining here in Carlisle today, in fact it was a very delightful misty morning

Its a mobile lampost,Kendal is, seemingly, the only place to employ such.During WW2,they were collected, wheeled down to Windermere and turned on,in the hope that the Luftwaffe would flatten the Sodom & Gomorrah that was,and remains Windermere. They were last used recently at the Torchlight procession ,an annual event at which the locals make merry and burn an effigy of some chap called Ritchie.Just a shame that someone has gone and spoiled the view by parking a rather odd looking collection of steel pipes and wheels in the foreground. I hope you kept on riding as Wheelbase came into view!My LBS is about 150m straight behind your back wheel.
I had a good ride through Kendal (over that bridge in fact) today and it was very quiet and rather lovely.
Headed out to Milnthorpe which is always a nice ride.
