I used to be able to ride no handed but got out of practice. (a lay off of about 35 years). I cannot ride my TREK road bike, my Kickbike or my Bacchetta without hands but my ICE Trike was a doddle.

Now I am over 50 I prefer to keep my handsome good looks as long as possible and so I keep my hands on the handlebars now.

It depends on your wheelbase and fork rake. I can do it easily on the Tricross, which is a slow-steering bike but it's much harder on the Roubaix, which is more twitchy. Hats off to the racers on their super-twitchy speed machines though.

Can do it on my hybrid but I still find my road bike tok twitchy. I've only just reached the stage where I can reach down for my bottle, or to loosen the velcro straps on my shoes without wobbling into the scenery.
