I wouldn't mind so much if he had a proper bicycle. I think inflatable malets with squeakers were invented for Brompton riders. Zealots and weirdos might argue that I harbour some sort of prejudice if I can write that. I do, but it's a perfectly noble and rational one.

Brompton? Schmompton!.

Just admit it BB, you can't afford a Brompton can you.... ;)

I've had that before while the station car park next to the track further down was full of red tail and brake lights of departing passengers' cars. The Fat Controller did not see the irony of the situation though.
I fear all Fat Controllers have a surgical irony by pass just before they are stuffed full of rule books.

I don't get it, when is Keighley station ever busy? I use the Airedale line regularly and depending on tiredness and/or laziness I ride my bike on the platforms of Shipley, Saltaire, Steeton, Keighley and Skipton, in full view of the conductors, never a problem, is there one?

I wouldn't do it where it terminates, Leeds, that'd be silly.

I nearly added that I don't. ^_^

Black Dahon D7, old red GT Outpost, white Sirrus, I ride them all on those platforms (with consideration). Some days I commute to Leeds, other days I'll use the old Aire Valley trunk road into the Dales and the Leeds Liverpool canal for leisure riding, this train line follows that route.

The only time a conductor (or other employee) speaks to me is to ask where I am going, or where I've been, normal chit-chat. I honestly can't see a problem, these stations are what most people would call quiet, at their busiest, Leeds excepted.

Hi Mark Most of the time you are spot on. Quiet. It is busy 7.00 till 8.30 and 16.30 to 18.00. Short sharp rush hour. Nice selection of bikes.

The aerial view is interesting. On the right a beautifully maintained volunteer run railway and on the left.......
