I'm with 400 bhp. If you can't cycle (which usually takes alot to keep us off) you can't work - with a few exceptions. I've had a couple of operations that kept me off the bike slightly longer than off work - i.e. an extra week or two off the bike, but in work. General falls etc, then I am in work.

I used to work with a guy that was regularly off with injuries sustained in rugby or Karate ! One time he ended up with a broken leg. My employer at the time wasn't very supportive, so I offered to give him a lift into work until he could drive again. I lived 30 miles from work, he was 40 miles, so that added an extra 20 miles each way for me, but at least he didn't get the sack.
