Cycling Sunglasses - OBSESSED!

Still wearing Oakley Mumbos, that date back to about 1993/1994
They certainly saved my eyes, when I went through the rear-window of an Austin Metro, back in early 1997

I had two pairs, but the translucent blue frame (used with yellow lenses) finally cracked about 2 years ago, so had to take the grey frames from the other pair ('iridium blue'?) & use that frame

Someone has told me that you can still send frames back to Oakley, for exchange/discounted replacement?

Anyone else have a weird obsession with buying lots of the same but different styles etc?

Since cycling more seriously, and seeing on Amazon how many different styles of sunglasses there are...I have quite a few pairs now...different styles....but these are my two most recent acquisitions....Thoroughly love them! Bit dubious sometimes with the price and reviews sometimes...but thoroughly pleased so far! Definitely like the bigger style, always have to make sure the side arms are thin or low though especially for cycling on the road.

Hoping to look as awesome as possible this summer!! :shy::sun:

Not me!

Although I do get obsessed by these which also look thoroughly splendid whilst cycling:

Some nice glasses here - high quality and not stupid prices either:

I wear prescription glasses, but when cycling nothing at all. My sight is good enough for the bike although not for driving. The trouble I get with wearing them on the bike is the top of the frame is directly in my vision, though I do have prescription sunglasses with slightly bigger lens which are a little better.

I actually like to ride with no glasses but hate insects slamming into my eyes especially when they’re big heavy bodied ones at high speed.
With glasses you get Panda eyes from where the sun doesn’t hit.

I keep thinking about buying cycling sunglasses, but never seem to get round to it.

Must be quite happy with the £3.99 clear jobbies (but that do filter out UV) from Decathlon then. Used mainly to keep flies and grit out of my peepers.

I've worn glasses on the bike ever since taking a direct hit in my left eye from a flying insect at around 25mph, then trying to make my way slowly to the nearest supermarket for some eyewash as I could hardly see.

As I need glasses for distance vision, all my cycling glasses have prescription lenses and I've picked up a few pairs over the years when the price has been right...
