I can't believe she's not wearing a helmet. What sort of example is that to set to the children?
I'm also going to be smug and clever by casually throwing into the post that she was riding a Curly Hetchins frame. And giving a superior sneer at the modern fixie hipsters by noting that the fixed wheel she was on was being ridden the proper way - WITH NO BACK BRAKE!

I loved the way she demonstrated all the things you mustn't do by doing them!
(Have to say I also noticed that she twice started out by pulling away without glancing back - something that would certainly appear on any 'don't do' list of mine. I guess it mattered less in 1936, but still...)
