It was originally London Broadcasting Company, the verbose alternative to Capital Radio.

I've never been able to listen to it, though, I've always found it boring and tedious at best, a cycling chat amongst the Capitals Finest Armchair Opinionaters was never going to be worthwhile and this grass won't watch itself growing...
