People would be prepared to pay if there were no other choice. The alternative would be getting off their fat behinds to do it themselves and that doesn't seem likerly now theyre accustomed to it.

As with the rising price of other luxuries they'll grumble but still pay it because theyre lazy lemmings.

Basically, they're leeching off society and wouldn't have a viable business model without it.

Because it costs more money to provide these services in a decent way than people are prepared to pay for them.

Kind of agree but if the laws are enforced and demand is there then the supply will come either from the same companies at less profit, a different company or for slightly higher prices for the consumer (or all 3). It wouldn’t collapse. Something would fill the void.

Agree, though I suspect charging a fair price would very significantly reduce demand.
