At the end of the day any rational person would have stopped when they realised the bus was moving. If this was an over take I would have all the sympathy in the world.

The aspect which appears to be missed here is the statement that she was on a fixie. Just because she was behind when the bus indicated does not mean she was able to stop behind the bus, especially if it was a fixie . It may just have been momentum that carried her on down the side of the bus as she slowed. Without knowing more about that its difficult to say whether she was reckless or caught out by the situation. In either case though, having spotted her the bus should have waited the all of three seconds it would have taken her to clear the bus before it pulled in - IMO.

It appeared to me that she was continuing to undertake the bus hoping that she was going to pass it rather than being unable to stop - she actually slowed and pasued a second before deciding to undertake.

Never, EVER undertake a big vehicle. It will crush you and you won't survive - it's not a case of if, it's a case of when.

This is the reason I never undertake vehicles, unless they are clearly positioned to turn right.

Very wise but even that needs qualifying. Some long vehicles have to take up a position similar to a right turn to give them the room to make the left turn.
