It's quite charming that newspapers still exist, like phone boxes, DVD rental shops. I don't know anyone under 40 who 'takes' a newspaper every day, they consume news via more immediate means - web, apps, social meeja etc etc. I think once you get to under 20, readership must be virtually nil.
My parents get the Daily Mail, they're often pointing out 'disgusting' stories to me, I used to gently point them to their laptop to go and corroborate them but I think they're happier reading the paper and having their views given to them. It wasn't *that* many years ago that I too used to read the Daily Mail and Daily Express, like others have said, I saw it a step above the red tops. It was only after I left the air force and started a different job that my eyes were opened. I think that's what it might take to see the light on these things.
