I thought all newspapers had headlines? All of which could be defined as fear mongering....if you were inclined to think so.
"Asylum your right to worry" reading below the headlines it appears they are quoting Blair.....so who is the fear mongerer?

And they're a group of people who really should know better. Unless they're just thick of course, which is probably more likely.
Don't agree with them? abuse them.....for the paper they read, come on. Statistically they are not all likely to be hate filled racists?

I shouldn't worry too much, you're not going to change the minds of the Guardianista

My ex-FIL used to get, only on a Sunday, the s.times, telegraph, guardian and news of the world. He used to like to compare them all and thoroughly enjoyed reading the 'screws' ... he used to laugh himself hoarse.
He bought 4 newspapers on Sunday? When did he finish them, Saturday?

My father, in his 70s, gets the Express every day - he's not daft, and he knows it's full of effluent, but this doesn't stop him from getting 'ranty' about some of the content.

When challenged, he will admit to knowing the slant the paper puts on things, but he just can't seem to help himself.
Are you suggesting that just this paper is biased? Really?

The Express have just been censured for making an utterly bogus claim about English being spoken in schools. The Mail showed a picture of a woman in a bath and called her a terrorist. Except she wasn't, so in the funniest correction for years the Mail had to print an apology in Arabic I think, the poor woman was vilified and attacked and so was handed several wheelbarrows of cash by the Mail. Chortle. Bias is one thing, printing bare faced lies to whip up hatred is another.
It doesn't surprise me. Many people see it as a step above the red-tops, and don't realise how loaded the paper is.

My parents have always read it. It's only down to sensitive conversations over the last few years that's opened their eyes to the messages.
I think I could have done with your input Paul, before told my mother to STFU after he read something out of the Fail and extrapolated its meaning to something or other
about muslims.

He hasn't really spoken to me since which isn't a bad thing.

I wonder if "they" were more angry that she was incorrectly labelled a terrorist or because it was a Muslim woman in a bath?

Why can't people just chill out more.

I had the same experience as SaraH, I used to occasionally help my two lads with their paper rounds, I'd guess that Daily Mail made up more than 60% of their bags, more on a Saturday!
