James Mason is dressed in tweeds and is planning an expedition into the pot hole outside my house.
We have pot holes, but no road left. The Arrow sportive come through the village, the road are at the moment flooded and the pothole are hidden, there are certainly going to be some accidents.

Could have been local media barons visiting to be sweet talked!Potholes have made this week's headlines in the Accrington Observer. https://www.accringtonobserver.co.uk/news/special-report-roads-compared-third-14575823 It seems that both Labour and the Conservatives are as usual blaming each other for the problem. This is one of the major reasons i haven't cycled for months. Ok,i know we can take our bikes and ride elsewhere,but i'm supposing the roads aren't that much better elsewhere that it'd be worthwhile doing so.
A few roads near to where i live are so bad that if you drive on them you find yourself swerving from side to side to avoid the deep holes. This takes some concentration and lessens your ability to judge and avoid other objects o the road.....like me on my fecking bike!!!!
I was thinking about voting for the Green Party candidate in next week's local elections. Then i just happened to walk past her house the other day and saw the cars on her drive. There she was last Thursday,delivering election leaflets on her bike,but on her drive she has a 4x4 "Chelsea tractor" and a bloody big gas guzzling Porsche!
I don't understand the idiot drivers swerving around to avoid potholes. I got told off in driving lessons for doing that. I was told the correct approach is to slow down and bump through the ones you can't avoid while keeping left. Wasn't everyone? I thought it was just the usual "I've passed my test so I'll drive like an inconsiderate shoot now" thing again.
