Read Dave Barters book and thoroughly enjoyed it. Actually emailed him to congratulate him on writing such an informative, humorous and enjoyable read and got a nice reply. Think it only cost me 60p on kindle. Bargain. Heartily recommend French Revolutions - Cycling The Tour de France by Tim Moore too. Hilarious.

I have just finished listening to the audio book version. It's let down a bit by the reader who mispronounces or misreads quite a lot of words. Overall I enjoyed the book although as he says himself, the quality of the writing is variable. On the early chapters the use of swearing when read by the rather well-spoken reader, sounds ridiculous. I suspect that the printed version is more satisfying. I will get his next book for sure.
