When does stubble officially become a beard? Is it on an individual case-by-case basis or is it a standard amount of time? I am guessing it's the former and depends on colour of the hair and complexion, also how fast it sprouts.

Also, when it gets to a suitable level of bush, can you just use clippers for your head hair, to keep it in check or are special beardy clippers required?

You are growing a beard but shave your legs.... is this a mid life crisis ?

I grew one for a while, from mid-January (last shave; 19th), to Easter weekend
Once it got past the '3-days stubble' stage, it wasn't too bad, until the last couple of days, when I had to shave as it was itching too much (& at 47, I had spots under it!!)

Then it was trimmed a bit

After that, I just let it grow, until it came off

I once grew a beard in a competition with a mate of mine in Portland, he ended up looking like a mountain goat and I could have passed for robinson crusoe on a bad hair day.
