I object to cycle lanes because they "suggest" to car drivers that I should use the damn stupid things and I don't belong on the road.

There aren't many round my way anyway thankfully... Actually there aren't any now I think about it. Not even a painted line on the road..... Guess what... we all get along fine. I think there are some in Worcester City but I haven't been there for ages.

Why is it that cyclists ignore designated cycle tracks and ride on the road. Is there something I'm missing here or do they really get a kick out of riding in traffic.

Today, I got shouted at for not being on the cycle path... whilst waiting to turn onto the cycle path. Last week, a man was so keen to shout at me to get on the cycle path that in order to do it he went straight on in a left-turn only lane, cutting me up on the approach to a roundabout and almost causing a crash by pulling into the path of a woman who was already on said roundabout. I was disappointed she didn't hit him, as it would have been most satisfying to witness. But anyway, all this is clear proof that cycle paths should be abolished, if only because they appear to turn a significant number of drivers into drooling ****wits.

Those 'cyclists dismount' signs baffle me. What are we supposed to do then? I've never seen a 'cyclists remount' sign.
We should always obey them.

Stop your bike in the middle of the road, and walk up the road, in primary position pushing your bike. Not your fault the traffic congestion it causes, you were only obeying the road sign
