Probably.

It's a double axled trailer. If you unhitch it, nothing at all would happen. You would have to lift the weight of the whole front end, with the vehicle on it. Much more sensible to lift the back of the Peugeot to give the front wheels some grip i.e. do exactly what they did.

Impressively done, but one would think that simply getting some ramps would probably be somewhat easier and quicker...
