Got up about seven to get ready for the club run and its p***** down, looks like I'm home today. What's it like by you? What are those that were going out now going to do with the day? I've got some work to do on my fixed, new BB chain cog and chainset, shorter cranks, and a new tyre to fit. Was going to do it later in the month, but while its raining I might as well get it done.

Heading out for a social pootle at 10am. It's raining in Somerset, but I'll still be going.

If it was an essential trip I would just go out, but Sunday mornings is leisure, pleasure and meeting up with friends, and fifty miles in the rain wont be pleasant and most of my mates wont be out.

Oh nothing as grand as fifty miles!

Have a weekend on my own - the wife's gone off to the West Midlands for the weekend.

Yesterday I was going for a 60 mile trip - got 8 miles away and it poured - came home. Went out again in the afternoon after the rain had stopped, had a puncture after 10 miles (my fault for using the canal towpath) changed the tube and came home again. Out to the garage to mend the tube I'd taken out, a minute later looked out to see what the noise was - yes the heavens had opened. Dodged it for once.

Thought I'd see what today looked like for the original planned ride, though not hopeful after looking at the forecast. What's it doing? Peeing down with a strong wind.

Think I'll clean the house instead.

Well after a sodden week, it's really nice here today and it's supposed to get up to 23 or 24 degrees later!

What country are you in Uncle Mort? I've read your location but I haven't a clue where it is

A bit overcast, temp 11C, light wind from the South east. Just got to fill the flask and make some pieces and I'll be off.

It hasn't got to you yet then, where, roughly, in the south east are you? I was brought up in Folkestone.

Pouring down here too.

Think I'll be having a big plate of bacon, egg and toast instead and a re-run of the Super League Grand Final !!!

Vlaanderen is Belgium! I find it hard to believe it's 24 degrees over there!

And me, but as long as its dry does it matter? I've had that many wetting recently its ridiculous.
