Otherwise, too sweet, and I much prefer Marmalade as a breakfast preserve.

depends on the Jam.

If i buy a jar of Robertson's I'll dig a 3/4 full jar out of the cupboard in 8 years time and bin it. If i buy a jar of Rhubarb & Ginger jam from the street market, it's gone within a week or two.

Make lots of it but actually don't eat lots of it so I have jam dating back years... But here comes the plum season! ARRRRRGH!!!!

And yes black cherry is also my fave but I don't have a black cherry tree so that's one I don't make...

Blackcurrant or Raspberry are gear - home made of course.

Just planted another three Blackcurrants to last us over the Winter.

Love home made raspberry... not so keen on strawberry if people leave the big lumps of fruit through it.
Home made blackberry is brilliant too.
Had milk jam in France.... like a thick caramel spread! Yum.

love jam but only homemade because otherwise it is too sweet.... made around the same number of jars last year. Last year's best was the raspberry closely followed by plum. I usually half the sugar quantities for our tastes or even less :licks lips:
