My boards have come direct from Lush longboards in sheffield over the years,

You've got me tempted to get mine back out of hiding and have a play,
I've got the aforementioned 5ft board, the wife has a long pin-tail and I've got 'shlongboard' which is a regular skateboard with the trucks mounted on the kicks.

Had an amazingly good time last week. Took my smaller longboard to Spain on holiday. Started working on some kickturns in a fairly confined paved space at our rented villa and had several hours MAHOOSIVE fun over several days, down on quiter 3/4's of the seafront at Sitges which has a wonderful promenade with runners, cyclists, in-line skaters, cyclists, walkers and the odd longboarder all sharing the space in a mutually respectful way.

Not doing hills yet. Slopes yes, but no hills.... not until I can turn on a six pence, do slides and foot brake confidently. Or at least one of the three,

Aha. I tried that once or twice in Spain only to discover I was going too fast to just jump off!
