Not names, as such, as I have no imagination, but identifiers so that the wife knows which one will be missing when I go out.

Rusty is my late 80's Viking "racer"
Clunker is a late '90s Giant Coldrock MTB, complete with rack and road tyres
Black is a Giant Talon MTB
White is a Specialized Secteur

function rules the day here:-

Surly Crosscheck - AKA commuting bike
Giant CRS Alliance - AKA weekend bike
Dawes - AKA pub bike, backup commuter, allrounder

all 3 have been called by insulting, and derogatory, terms at times, but that's more in the 'RichP abuse' vein.

My new Kona Haole is called Terry, because he's orange and he's mine.

All my bikes are male, and named with the letter M:

The bike I came to Uni with became Mithras, because Mithras was a god of light, and I developed a liking for as many lights and hi-vis as I could carry once I was into cycling on a regular basis. He was eventually stolen.

The Galaxy is Mercury, because he was faster* than Mithras.

The Giant FCR, faster still*, and partly red, was Mephistopheles.

The Trike, for no real reason apart from picking something beginning with M, is Murdo.

The winter hack, a no name frame and odd bits, is Monty, short for Montgomery, because he's sort of sturdy and reliable.

*fastness of course being relative, they all have me in the saddle.
