Cover the seat stem in paint remover so that when they come to nick the saddle the thieving @#@ts will hopefully touch it and get a nice burning sensation soon after!
I cable lock mine through the rails. It's not a particularly expensive saddle, but add in a carbon seat post then it's about £80 plus for the two. Just have to prey no tea leaf recognises the Ritchey WCS bars which are £80 a set.
Nicking a saddle with a quick release is one thing, but nicking a set of bars would require a very dedicated thief.
It reminds me of the guy who had his Rohloff hub stolen when the theif cut all his spokes.
I used to take the seatpost and saddle with me - only works if the bike is under cover, or if it's a bike you borrowed off your brother and you tip the rainwater out before you give it back ...
