i am a Coventry area born person and for the last couple of years i have been looking to find a bike that had a connection to my home town .

as can be seen under the vintage section i obtained a W Pollard bike built in Nuneaton which is close enough to Coventry to me . Its other connection is that mt mother was a Nuneaton born person . Both of my parents road and raced in the Coventry area many moons ago .

How many other CC 'ers can say they own or ride a bike from their birthplace ?

I actually do have a bike from where I was born, grew up, and still live.

Had it made for me when I was 20. Built by Frank Herety of Hillgate Stockport. Many in my club had one of his bikes as their best bike.

Still got it and use it.

There is even on of my bikes brothers in the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester .

I've recently bought a 1980's Raleigh Team, having grown up in Nottingham. I've also got a 2012 Raleigh Airlite 100 but doubt that was made anywhere near there.

Bikes are born now!
You mean to say their alive. Could make you think twice about saying you like riding your bike though.

I used to ride a Triumph motorbike made in Hinckley, which is where parents now live.
