I'm 6'6", weigh close to 17st and consider myself passable at going uphill (although I do seem to have lost some of that ability lately I think it's more to do with that 17 meant to be 15!!). Can't say I'm noticably quick on the flat (although I did once get to the Waterfront at Whitstable first)

It is unlikely to be height alone that differentiates them from you, which is a good thing really because you can get fitter, lose some weight change your bike but there is no way you can get taller.

I do agree that weight and of course your personal level of fitness play apart in how quick you ride; as does gearing I suppose.
