I wear a woolly hat to keep my ears warm more then my head. Lots of hair is enough for my head.

I have also got a couple of fedoras for when I was playing Doc Pierce in Calamity Jane and got in to wearing one at every reheasal even when I wasn't required to.

I was a very reluctant gunslinger. I tried to argue with the producer that as a Doctor having a gun would be a conflict of interests. It didn't wash and I had to wear it on stage and use it.

Cap for work or Trilby for best in winter, both black felt, Panama for work in summer.

Hats have rather gone out of fashion. I think that's a shame. But, then, I don't have much by way of hair, so I would say that.

I've taken to wearing hats as I get older. There's something comforting about a hat. I have a baseball cap, a russian style hat for when I go watch the football to stop me freezing and I'm off to buy another wooley hat tomorrow. I notice they were selling ferdoras in Next a while back. maybe hats are coming back. Can't see myself in one of those huge pancake flat caps though.

I have quite a few hats. I have a black fedora, a panama, a tweed homburg, an Italian wool winter hat (like a woven version of a sniper's cap) and various tuques (as they call them in Canada) - you really have to wear something in winter here. I am currently considering a nineteenth century style top hat (curved sides) and a brown Derby (bowler) too. Clearly I wouldn't wear them that often, but I just like hats... actually, I just like interesting clothes.

I absolutely love hats. I have lots of headscarves, sunhats, bobhats, but my absolutely favourite is a fur russian style hat which I wear wherever possible in winter.

no hat , usually a hood. a nice warm fleecy hat on the bike or baseball cap in summer, unless i go off road, then it's skull cap and helmet.

Btw, I don't think baseball caps count as 'hats'. Me being a snob and all. Nor helmets. Anyone want to make a case for a knotted hankie?
