Does Anyone Know a Friendly/Helpful Policeman

I have the registration number of a car which damaged mine in a supermarket car park on Wednesday evening.

I need an address for this vehicle.

Does anyone know anyone who might be able to help?

Nobody could legitimately give that to you AFAIK. Have you also got image proof/witnesses of the other car? If so, have a chat to the police and they can go round and have a word and then support you when you chat to insurers/solicitors.

If you write to the DVLC in Swansea and explain the circumstances, then they'll generally give you the details. They've probably got a form for it on their website and a facility for you to pay by credit card.

Try your insurance company - they have access to all sorts of data.But expect them to ask if you've reported it to the police.

I agree with Will - instead of trying to resolve it yourself, why not tell the police what happened and give them the registration?
