So who is the service provider at Snowden? Who owns and operates the trig point? Who stands by the trig point and ensures the enjoyment and safety of the visitors? No one. So it's not a service, because you aren't being served by anyone.

Last time I was on Snowdon we sat with our backs against the trig point and brewed a cuppa whilst eating our butties, there was no bugger body else up there mind it was October, the pub/cafe was shut and it was 35 years ago.

Except the trig point is not the summit. Just an artificial construct built on top of the summit. Be better off just removing the whole thing and let them pop into the cafe instead.

We could have a rule. You cannot visit the Snowdon summit unless you have proof you have visited all the lower 3,000ft summits first.

Personally, I think the need to queue for something at a mountain top is wrong. I go into the outdoors to get away from people.

with that many people and most wanting a photo unfortunately a queue is the only safe way. unless you have two queues, one for people who want a photo and one for people who just want to touch it (like the fast track queue at alton towers? )
