Hello. I have two jackets that are no longer waterproof. So, what do you reckon - is it worth trying those wash-in products? Or something else? It seems a shame to buy a new jacket.
I have a non-waterproof raincoat and was considering doing that but then I noticed that it doesn't have taped seams. Is it worth trying to improve the leaky thing, or should I just give up on it?

Actually, is DIY seam-taping a thing? (I'll get off to Google it now, but has anyone here done it?)

PS THIS might be good for DIY seam-taping.

...... Also if using a washing machine give it a run through empty with washing soda beforehand.

Absolutely ,100%, very important. The first time I put our washing machine through it 'cleaning program' I was amazed at the amount soap suds that appeared. And yes, it does make a difference to the result you get from the following wash in cleaning/proofing.
