I cycle a 5 mile route to work every day which takes me through a park. I am sick and tired of being chased by dogs in the park. Most dogs don't chase me they just run right out into my path. It's impossible to see them when it's dark. I wrote to my local council to see what they could do, but they declined my request to ban all dogs from the park.
So I came up with my own idea. I went to sainsbury's supermarket and got myself a pack of sainsbury's 'basics 20 pork sausages' I cook 2 sausages before I set off work in the morning. When I see a dog in the park I throw a sausage in it's direction, so far it has worked every time, but this morning when I tried this , I found I couldn't get the sausage out of my pocket quick enough and the dog chased me all the way to the park gates. The solution was simple. I removed my front bike lights and put the 2 sausages in the brackets that hold the lights. Now I can grab a sausage much quicker with the added benefit of the dog Probably not being able to see me coming in the dark. I've had only 3 near misses with people jogging because they could not see me either, but they should not be jogging in the park in the first place.

My dog doesn't chase cyclists, never has, nor would she be allowed to.

But, if you rode past with a couple of Wall's finest strapped to your handle bars, she'd chase you to the ends of the Earth!

I hope this is a joke thread, to show off your handy sausage holders.
But if it isn't, aren't you just encourageing dogs to run after all bikes, as they now expect a sausage!
